Deviation Actions
i've had a lot of people asking me about my grell teeth lately, and i've decided to post this here so you all stop asking!! =3=;; note that i didn't make this up myself, i caught the idea from another cosplayer on deviantart whose name escapes me. but she said we could use the idea, so here i am spreading the word. <3
YOU WILL NEED:
+ a box of unpainted, acrylic nails. ( you can get these fairly cheap at most drug stores. i got mine at rite aide. )
+ zinc-free polygrip ( or any uncolored denture adhesive. pink looks silly behind these! )
HOW TO:
file down the nails to fit your teeth & to a point. there will be a side to the nails that is textured, that's the side you want to make the points out of, while the smoother end should be nearest your teeth / gumline.
once you have the teeth you want filed down, put the polygrip on the back in a thin layer. not thin enough to see the nail, and not thick enough to be terribad and gooey when you try to stick it on your tooth. leave them for 5-10 minutes to let the polygrip dry a bit and become tacky. place them on your teeth CAREFULLY! and press down softly, enough to stick them on securely. wipe off any access, it doesn't taste yummy!
note that these are NOT adhered to your teeth permenetly, so they WILL move if you play with them, eat, bash your face against something.. so remember a plastic baggy, the polygrip, toothpaste & a toothbrush so you can clean them off ( they get icky after 3-5 hours with them in, especially if you're wearing lipgloss of some sort. ) when they get yucky & so you can eat and drink!
once you get uber pro with them in, as it takes a bit of getting use to to speak with them and whatnot, you can drink, but only with a straw!! be sure to just drink, and now swish it around in your mouth if you do so, because swallowing these wouldn't be good!! but PLEASE DON'T EAT OR DRINK WITH THESE IN, otherwise. =3=;;
so yeah, there it is! if you have any questions, feel free to ask. but i think i covered most of it. ^3^
good luck with your own pointy teefies!! i'd love to see them if you decide to make them!!

[SKETCH COMMISSION]
These are “rougher” looking than my digital things; I do these traditionally, pen + paper, & scan them in. They have a different color (usually light blue or pink) under-armature that I sketch out to get an idea of where things need to be, & then a ‘final’ pencil line. Any color is added digitally.

This is such a great idea. Have you had any problems with the teeth being too sharp or uncomfortable? That is like my only reservations since it is hard plastic.
